的 School and College 咨询 department admits new students once a year, every Fall Semester.  

We offer two application deadlines: a 优先级 deadline of December 1 和一个 常规的 deadline of February 1.  

的 优先级 截止日期(12月. 1) offers applicants early consideration for application review 和一个lso provides an earlier decision notification. To receive priority review, applications must be submitted in full in 加州申请 by Dec. 1 and official transcripts must be received by the Admissions Office before Feb. 1. 

的 常规的 截止日期(2月. 1) provides a review for applications that are submitted in full in 加州申请 and have official transcripts received by Admissions by the Feb. 1的最后期限.  

的 加州申请 application opens on October 1 and closes on February 1.

To 应用 to the 咨询 Program:

1. 下载 MS 咨询 Program Information to learn about the specific items you will need to complete the application. 的 常见问题 sheet is also very helpful to prospective students when applying.
2. 应用 through 加州申请 加州申请 .的 加州申请 application is the only application needed to apply to the 咨询 program. 的 application fee is $70 and is non-refundable.   
3. Applications must be completed in full by either the Dec. 1 优先级 Deadline or the Feb. 1 常规的 Deadline in order to be considered for admission. Please be sure to submit official transcripts prior to the Feb. 1的最后期限.  
4. Helpful tips: 给 yourself at least one month to prepare your application and submit official transcripts early but not before you submit 加州申请 application.

M.S. in 咨询 with options in School 咨询 and College 咨询

的 Master of Science in 咨询 program prepares students for careers in educational counseling settings and is designed to provide a broad conceptual knowledge base and the development of specialized counseling skills applicable to a diversity of student populations and counseling needs. Students choose to specialize in School or College specializations 和一个re able to concurrently pursue the PPS credential.

Through a framework of cultural humility, the program stresses the importance of reflective examination and interpersonal and professional growth to prepare counselors who are responsive, 变革, 以学生为中心的领导人.

Our program is accredited by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing to offer both the PPS credential and the Child Welfare and Attendance (CWA) authorization. 咨询 students completing the MS degree (in either option) are able to simultaneously earn the PPS Credential in School 咨询, 哪一个 is required to work as a School Counselor in the TK-12 public school system. 的 CWA authorization prepares candidates with the specialized counseling training to assist TK-12 students and families in need of attendance support.
