Patrol

The CSUDH Police Patrol Division's primary mission is to enhance the safety and security of the campus community by providing professional law enforcement services. Uniformed officers are actively on patrol at all times and respond to calls for service from the campus community.

All officers are vested with full police powers pursuant to California Penal code section 830.2(c) and are certified by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.). This is the same basic training that city and county peace officers receive.

CSUDH police officers have peace officer authority anywhere in the State of California; however, the primary jurisdiction of the CSUDH Police Department is the University Campus and one mile surrounding the campus, as indicated in the California Education Code, Section 89560.
