Accounting Services

The Accounting Services Office is dedicated to providing a range of responsive, customer-oriented financial services to students, employees, and vendors of the University.

Among the services we provide are:

  • Timely reimbursement of employee travel expenses and education of employees regarding CSU system travel regulations
  • Timely and accurate payments to vendors for merchandise and services provided to the University
  • Providing documentation on University department revenue and expense operating activities, when requested
  • Education of University department personnel in understanding University financial policies

Catering Services

Food Services - Commercial and DH Catering
Catering Services are available 7 days a week based on reservation bookings. Please plan a minimum of 1 work week in advance when ordering catering. Please reserve room first prior to making catering arrangements. Room reservations can be made with Loker Student Union Reservations at (310) 243-2013 or Facilities Scheduling at (310) 243 – 2231.

Communications & Marketing

The Office of University Communications & Marketing builds public understanding, recognition, and support for CSU Dominguez Hills by shaping the image and voice of the university. This is accomplished through coordinated communications strategies and media relations that position the university as an important urban center for teaching, learning, research, scholarship, creative activity, and service.

Copy Services

University Printing Services includes reprographics and the copier program. Located in Welch Hall, the entrance is outside of the building, across from the police department.

In December 2019, UPS will launch its digital storefront, Toroprint, where emphasis initially will be on the top services requested: business cards, letterhead, and banners. Further services will be released in the upcoming months.

Facilities Services is a department within the Division of Administration and Finance whose responsibility is to meet the university's ever-changing needs for facility maintenance and custodial services. We provide routine and special services to the campus efficiently and hospitably. Health and Safety

The intent of the Office of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) is to minimize losses by creating and providing a safe and healthy environment for students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors through specially designed programs and services. Additionally, EHS assists campus operations and projects in minimizing environmental impacts, surpassing regulatory requirements, and practicing environmentally sound methods.

Loker Student Union

The Loker Student Union provides an environment which is designed to encourage interaction among the campus’ constituent groups (internal and external), enhance the sense of campus community, and expand the avenues through which the university educates students.

Mail Services
Mail Services handles over three million letters a year and is the U.S. Postal Service's largest customer in the City of Carson. Mail Services is responsible for the formulation of University mail policies and procedures, classification of mail, and the pickup and delivery of U.S. and intra-campus mail.

Payroll Services 

Payroll Services is committed to providing timely and accurate compensation payments for all employees, providing prompt and reliable information/service to our customers in a personal and professional manner, and staying current on regulations, policies and procedures that govern compensation and promptly addressing the changes on campus.

Payroll Basics: 

  • It's not a check, it's a warrant.
    The State Controller calls your paycheck a pay warrant.

  • It comes from the state.
    Payroll warrants are not produced on campus; they are issued from the State Controller's Office (SCO) in Sacramento, mailed to the campus then distributed by the Cashiers Office.

  • It's issued monthly.
    Regular faculty and staff are paid at the end of the month; student assistants and special categories (intermittent hourly, special consultants, overtime, etc.) are paid around the 12th of each month Payroll Services.

  • It is not mailed.
    Pay warrants must be picked up at the Cashiers Office by the authorized Check Handler. Eligible employees may apply for direct deposit to their bank accounts, through Payroll Services.

  • It's only good for a year.
    Pay warrants are valid for one year from the date of issue.

  • It's all on the stub.

  • For most regular faculty and staff, your current leave accounting balances (sick leave, vacation, etc.) are reported right on the statement of earnings that accompanies your pay warrant. 
Phone Services

University Telephone Policy and Guidelines as of August 1998 [Supersedes PM 94-04]. Please visit the Telephone Policy and Guidelines website to review services offered for on-line voice mail, telephone tips and more.

The mission of Telephone Services is to provide operation and maintenance of University voice communications in support of faculty, staff and students. The scope of the responsibility includes provision and maintenance of campus office telephones, courtesy telephones and directories, public telephones, emergency telephone call boxes and revision and publication of an annual campus telephone directory. The unit also prints and disseminates information on communications policies and procedures, equipment and usage.

Please note that you should check with your department administrator before sending any orders for telephone additions, moves or changes. Also, your department administrator may have telephone and voice mail user guides that they can make available to you. When in doubt, call the Telephone Services at (310) 243-3800 for further assistance.

In addition, if you are experiencing any type of telephone problem, please call us at x3800 for immediate assistance or submit an ticket to IT Help Desk via csudh.service-now.com/.

A ticket should also be submitted for all telephone requests and modifications via csudh.service-now.com/. Please allow 2 weeks for processing.

Procurement & Contracts

Procurement & Contracts serves and supports the overall mission and goals of the university by employing best practices for a variety of goods and services responsive to the needs of our faculty, staff, and students. We provide cost-effective, best value purchasing services and high quality customer services in a courteous and professional manner. Through consistent application of state, CSU, and campus policies, we ensure appropriate stewardship of public funds and are committed to the continued growth and development of CSUDH.

Procurement and Contracts is the only department authorized by written delegation from the President to purchase goods and services and authorize and execute contracts on behalf of the University. Individuals entering into unauthorized commitments of state funds do so at their own risk and may be held personally liable for the obligation.

Salary Schedule

The Office of the Chancellor, Systemwide Human Resources, is the official distributor of the CSU salary schedule. As a result, the CSU will not be held responsible for any salary schedule amendment or pay letter update other than those initiated by the Office of the Chancellor.  Salary schedule files are updated on an ongoing basis. Training & Development

As staff employees are the backbone of the University community, staff training and professional development are priorities for the University Administration. Every attempt is made to provide professional and technical training opportunities for staff employees.

Human Resources Management designs and implements training and development programs. Throughout the year, a variety of workshops, training sessions and motivational programs for staff are made available. Employees are encouraged to participate in workshops that help improve job skills. Personal growth programs are also offered, and employees are encouraged to attend with their supervisor's approval. University Library 

The University Library fosters student success, scholarly research, and academic excellence through the provision of information resources; user-centered services and learning experiences; and welcoming, technology-enhanced environments that facilitate lifelong learning, collaboration, innovation, and the acquisition of information literacy skills.

The CSUDH Library is located roughly in the center of the campus, between LaCorte Hall, the gymnasium, the Loker Student Union, and the Natural Science and Mathematics building. It is divided into two parts, North and South, which are connected by a bridge and have the same entrance.

The South side of the library is the newest part, and is easily recognized by its glass windows. The North side of the library is the original building, and is the side of the library through which you enter and exit.

University Parking Services 

The Unversity Parking Department is responsible for parking enforcement on campus property. We also assist in unlocking vehicles if you have locked yourself out AND you are parked on campus. We are unable to provide this service if you are parked on the street. We are also unable to provides jumpstarts, either on campus or off. 

The University Parking Department is located in RPM-Room 200. The hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

University Police

It is the mission of the CSUDH Police Department to provide a safe campus conducive to education for the university's students, faculty, staff, and visitors. We will accomplish our mission by encouraging community awareness and providing proactive service in a fair, sensitive, and professional manner in support of the university’s mission. The University Police Department will enforce all laws of the state of California and educate the community on safety and risk avoidance practices.

The University Police station is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, and is located at:
